- Sightseeing trip

Due to bad weather today (cloudy and rain) so I decided on the bus that I would follow my gallery trip.

When I arrived London at Victoria coach station I walked to Buckingham Palace to see Guard changing at 11.30. After that I walked along The Mall (street) to Trafalgar Square where the National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery are located.

In the National Gallery, it was fantastic.I’ve seen more than 1000 original paintings which were painted by famous artists around the world since 13th century to early 20th century. They are separated into 5 zones.

I like 18th - early 20th century paintings zone most. It might because I could understand the story from those paintings. But it does not mean that the rest of them are not good. They are interesting too.

I’ve seen many small group tours there. They were kid groups until eldery groups. I sometime followed kid groups because tour guides used easy vocabuary to explain to kids.

Without taking photo there so I walked around there and try to remember things I’ve seen there. I spent more than 2 hours to see all zones. Then I went to the next gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, where is next door.

The National Portrait Gallery collects many painting of famous people (only human, on any views). who I’ve never known -”-. So I just walked around there and looked some nice paintings then went to next gallery, the photograhpers’ gallery.

Because I was very hungry so I changed my plan to go to SOHO for having lunch+dinner at Misato, a famous japanese restaurant. Why is this restaurant famous ? it’s because of dish size !! look…

with my hungriness …

After filling energy, it’s time to visit photographers’ gallery.
I was a bit disappointed because it’s smaller than I had thought. There are not much pictures I was able to see (but they are going to move to new location next month. I think I am going to visit there again.)

Finish galleries trip, I had 2 hours left so I walked to Tottenham Court Road where many IT-electronic shops

are. If you want to buy PC, laptops, digital camera, TV, game consoles or electric appliances. I sugguest you to come here because you can make a bargain and get some discount.

I really was so tired today but It’s quite a great trip.

แต่ที่หายไปเพราะ อินเทอร์เน็ตของบ้านที่พักอยู่มันเสีย ร่วม 3 สัปดาห์ บางทีต้องการใช้มากถึงขนาดไปใช้งานที่ร้านอินเทอร์เน็ตเลยทีเดียว -”-

แต่ถึงแม้ว่าอินเทอร์เน็ตจะกลับมาใช้ได้แล้ว แต่ก็ยังไม่รู้ว่าจะ update อะไรอยู่ดี ( อ้าว -”- )

เพราะฉะนั้นวันนี้แค่กลับมาทักทาย ผู้ที่เข้ามาอ่านประจำทั้งที่ แอบอ่านและ อ่านอย่างเปิดเผย รวมทั้ง คนที่อ่านออกเสียงด้วย

แต่ทั้งนี้ทั้งนั้นมาอยู่ตั้งนาน ของก็เอามาได้แค่นิดหน่อย ทีวี ตู้เย็น เครื่องซักผ้า ที่ใช้อยู่ที่บ้านเป็นประจำ จะเอาขึ้นเครื่องบินมาก็คงโดนหน่วยรักษาความปลอดภัยโดนถีบตั้งแต่ขนเข้าสนามบิน

เพราะฉะนั้นเราก็ควรเลือกคัดสรรแต่สิ่งที่จำเป็นจริง ๆ สำหรับการดำเนินชีวิตในอังกฤษ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น ปลาร้า มาม่า ปลากระป๋อง พริกแกง น้ำปลาเอย ของเหล่านี้ถึงแม้ว่าจำสำคัญแค่ไหนก็ตาม ก็ไม่ต้องขนมาเยอะนักหรอกครับ ให้ที่บ้านส่งมาทีหลังก็ได้นะ ~~

Today is my day off and the weather is very nice. It’s a sunny day, no rain.

With boring stay in the room and having bus ticket. I think it’s better to go somewhere for using bus ticket ( I must use it as much as I can ).

Then I decide to go to 7Sisters again.

I took a bus but It seemed that it was wrong number -”-.

Because I’d been on the bus for long distance so I changed my mind to get off at Seaford, a small lovely city that I even know it before - -”.

It’s like a random sampling. If I am lucky I’ll see a beautiful view. If I am not I’ll not see any amazed view.

Fortunately, I’ve seen a beach and a small in this city. I think this area is such a nice place to relax and picknick. But I didn’t bring any food so I spent in around there only 1 hour then get back to my city, Brighton.

Today I got my 4th salary from working. It made my goal was achieved.

After this month the money I’d get must be  my savings which I think that I’ll separate into 3 groups : saving money, shopping (travel and buying souvenirs) and living expense.

So I’ve no any pressure to spend my money anymore (but I won’t be extravagant though).

What do you think if you have a trip in rainny day ? It’s not funny, right ?

I must go anyway. I had paid money for this trip ( I joined this trip with discoverytour ).

While I was waiting at meeting point I met Thai friend ( but I’m not close to her ). She also joined this trip with her friend. So this trip had 3 Thai people. The rest of them are from many countries. Most of them are students. But there were some British.

The coach arrived on time. A guide tour told us to get on then had own seat then suggested things in this trip.

Nearly 1 hour we stopped at the Salisbury Cathedral, a first visited place.

We walked through raining and took pictures around.

Inside this cathedral was very beautiful but I could not take any photos because they had an observance today.

…

After finish visiting Salisbury, we went to next stop, Stonehenge, the place that I was waiting for. Many people might say that It’s just stones.

On the way to Stonehenge, the guide tour told us about history of Stonehenge and some fictions about UFO and fields where has symbols on.

15 minutes later, I was Stonehenge. It was still showering when we got off the coach but somehow like a miracle. Rain was stopped. Sky’s opened. I’ve seen a fantastic view

At the Stonehenge we got a radio tour. It’s like a cellphone you press a number then listen what the history of the Stonehenge was. But I did not listen it because I did not understand many vocabularies ~~. So I just took photos.

Be satiate with Stonehenge’s view, we went to Bath city, the most beautiful historic city. The guide tour told me like this ~~. But he’s not a liar. It’s a really beautiful city.

We spent time there around 3 hours then we got back to Brighton.

This library looks modern. It has 3 floors which include fiction area, child area, multimedia area, sound area, conference rooms, IT room and Share areas for reading.

And we can ( I mean a person who is not british as me) borrow some books, CDs and DVDs but we must be a membership of this library.

They need 2 evidences for applying ; passport and the document to prove your address ( I gave them my room rent’s receipt)

To be a membership is free. It’s also free if you borrow books but you must pay some money for other stuffs like CDs or DVDs.

I’m not sure that how long I’ll finish this book. It might take 3 months. - -”

But this morning… I had to buy some medicine (I’ve got a cold) at Tesco where are near my house. So I woke up earlier at 8 a.m.

I usually finish daily tasks; take shower, get dress and have breakfast in one hour then I will go to work.

But this morning… I did it quickly so I spent about 45 minutes.

I always ride my bike to work. It takes time around 15 minutes to get my work place.

But this morning… After I left home. I couldn’t find my bike ?!?

Where did I park it ? … I thought.

Yes. I parked here, in front of this house.

Ummmm

a few minutes later. I saw my locked bike cable was cut. -”-

Oh ! God . M y   B i k e   W a s   S T O L E N.

.

So I had to walk very fast to Tesco for buy medicine and catch the bus to go to work on time as I’ve never done before.

Goodbye my red bike. T T

PS.This story teach me that “Don’t lock your bike outside the house with weak cable, even your bike is old.”

From the pastry shop, I was walking, eating (and drinking) to coach station at Pool Valley. At 9.00 a.m. the bus arrived then it departed on time at 9.10 a.m.

On that time I was wondering that why there was no any young people. Most of passengers were more than 50 years old. -”- (I’ve found the reason in the brochure that it’s very cheap for old people)

Get on the coach, I could choose any seats which had not been taken.I’d thought that I’d like to sit to see sea side but it was my mistake, I chose the wrong side. So I’ve seen only house and town. -”-

2 hours later I reached Portsmouth, the sea port of England. I got 15 minutes there. So it was good time to set my feet on Portsmouth

I was hurry to see a little part of Portsmouth in short time.It had not enough time of course so I think I am going there again

Break time’s up. I got on the coach to go my next stop, Southampton. At this stop, there were more passengers got on the bus. So I’ve met an old lady who sat beside me. She’s such a lovely woman.I knew that even we had few short chats.

She told me about her leisure activities and her experience. To be honest, I didn’t get it all because her pronunciation was quite difficult to catch it. ~~

Before I got off at Southampton to change the coach. She’d kissed me my cheek - -” then told me a big acid. I can’t remember all of them. But it’s kind of …

“If you want to do something that you love to do. Please do by your heart. Don’t let anyone stop your dream.”

I’d given her a huge thank you before I got off. I think I was very lucky to have nice chats with her.

At Southampton I must wait the next coach for 45 minutes. It was nothing to do at coach station so I decided to walk around there.

This city is very big in my opinion. So I’ve just pop in the ASDA supermarket for buy some cookies.Then I had enough short time to briefly see the Big Toy R Us where is behind the coach station.

Next coach arrived on time. I got on it and took time for 45 minutes to arrive Winchester.

At last I was in Winchester at King Alfred coach station where is the meeting point.

After that my friend guided me for sightseeing in this huge historic small city. (see more pictures)
